RP18 - Finally here!

For the first time in the Columban Lay Missionaries 18 years of history, there was no orientation for 2008 - 2009. Even so, we did not hibernate. We took this time to raise funds by way of selling t-shirts, cakes and had the CLM first ever garage sale in December 2008. Perhaps this time was a blessing in disguise as we were able to attend to other needs which are mostly medical in nature.

Having said these, we never stopped hoping, praying and campaigning for more LM vocation. We went near and far looking for the would-be members of RP18. Likewise, some hopeful individuals came looking for us and exploring possibilities. Amidst the roller coaster of events and emotions in the admission, RP18 is finally here. They are composed of Gertrudes Samson, Rosalia Basada, and Jonah Jane Enterina. WELCOME RP18!

And to celebrate this vocation event, there was a EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 5:00pm at the Lay Mission House in Cubao. During this eucharistic celebration, we also welcomed Carmela Capistrano and Rowena Caggauauan for completing their first term in Pakistan. Hurray to you Carms and Owence.
